Hi, I’m Colleen!
I could tell you that my love for photography started as a child when I begged for a camera for Christmas and my 9th birthday (I am one of those unfortunate people with a birthday way too close to Christmas), and that would be true. However, like many kids, I had many interests and photography went to the back burner. I picked up a camera off and on over the years and always told myself one day I will get serious about this. That one day occurred when a good friend, who is a great photographer, began taking pictures of my daughters. When she left, I told myself the time is now to go for my dream.
I started taking very casual pictures of my girls and I found myself searching for a style. I love the light and airy style of photography, but I found myself being drawn to fine art photography or the “painterly style”. The images that I want to provide are those that don’t get hidden away on some computer drive or Facebook that pops up as a memory 5 years later. I want to provide photographs that you will consider works of art, fine art, that would grace the walls of your home and would be cherished for years to come.
